Wow! Has it really been six months since we last saw Dr. C? It doesn't seem like it's been that long. With all of Levi's appointments for USS it slips through my mind sometimes about the needed appointments for his thyroid. He takes his meds every morning now without any problems, and with the much shorter wait time before breakfast that is really no big deal either, so his thyroid is under control! Makes it much nicer!
We got up and got moving. Since Levi doesn't sleep anymore he was up at 6ish ready to go! So we had plenty of time to get to Manchester. Even stopped at Dunkin Donuts. With a bunch of logistical planning we found a good place to leave Jay's car so that he could mostly ride with us, but Levi and I didn't have to drive all the way back to Farmington before going to Dover. Both Jay and I have rough/busy weeks at work so finding a happy medium was important.
We got to the appointment and got checked in and went upstairs. There we waited again. Levi was very upset that Dr. C doesn't have a play room. He just kept saying "I love Dr. V and his way cool playroom". I am not even sure that he remembered who Dr. C was. After we got upstairs we filled out the updated paperwork and then were taken back to the room. Levi was being a crazy man! The kid is so exhausted all the time that he doesn't stop moving for fear he will fall asleep! It's driving Mommy and Daddy batty!

The ever antsy Jay in appointments was looking at a magazine while we waited for Dr. C and who did he find in a magazine but Dr. V! Levi was pretty excited to "see" him!
Once Dr. C came in the appointment was only a few minutes long. We talked about Levi's lack of sleep. He doesn't believe that his thyroid is causing it (neither do we after seeing the most recent blood work, but we were hoping there was an easy solution!) We did do a very slight med change to lower his TSH and FreeT4 slightly. He used to take 37.5micrograms 4 days a week and 44micrograms 3 days a week, now he takes then 5 days a week and 2 days a week respectively, instead. We will do blood work again in 6-8 weeks to make sure that isn't hurting things more then it's helping. We talked about possibly adding melatonin to his med list to help with sleep, but we discussed that this would help him fall asleep but not stay asleep, and since half his problem is the multiple wake ups and early mornings we aren't sure that that is something we want to do.
Then Dr. C looked at Levi. He said that he was growing as expected. And that everything felt and looked good. And then we said goodbye and headed out.
Next plan: We will be in touch in 6-8 weeks for a lab slip and blood work results and then we will be back to see Dr. C in 6 months! :)
