April 21-22 - David's House

April 21-22 David's House Stay

After Levi's hair cut in Hampton we headed up to David's House. We stopped in Concord to meet a lady to buy a rocking horse off of Craigslist, and then got dinner at Tandy's. They used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but they have removed their buffet and are still good, but just not as appealing anymore. Levi seemed to like the food and had a good time anyway.
Enjoying a bite of bear before dinner.
The bowl of ice cream is almost as big as his head, and that's saying something!
We then finished the drive to Lebanon. Levi watched Paw Patrol for most of the way from Concord to Lebanon (about an hour). He was over exhausted and over the drive, and just wasn't settling.

We got to David's House, and it was finally a nice day! We played outside on the outdoor playground for the first time. Levi had a blast! After a few minutes of playing we went to check in and get settled. We found ourselves in the dino room again! :) There was a little girl there who was 2 months older then Levi, but half his size, and she was overly fascinated with Levi. It was so cute to watch the two of them run around and play.

After we got settled we went back outside to play. Levi had been sitting since around 2pm between car, blood work, car, haircut, car, dinner, car so he needed to get some energy out if we were going to have any shot of him going to bed on time. We ran around outside, played on the slide, swung as a family, ran to the trees, marched like dinosaurs, and were overly just a little crazy. It was a lot of fun!

After running around outside we went in for a snack and a drink before heading upstairs to get ready for bed. We learned the trick of Levi falling asleep in a pack n' play. Make sure he is VERY tired!! Levi was out cold in his pack n' play in about 5 minutes flat. That is good time for even his crib here at home, so that was very nice.

Jay and I headed downstairs for a snack and some adult time before heading to bed. We ended up talking to two other families and sharing our stories. It's always interesting to talk to other families and hear the different things that people are going through. One of the families had gone to many of the same specialists that we see, so that was also interesting to hear the differences.

Around 11:30 Jay and I headed up to bed.

Levi woke up the next morning super early as is usual at David's House. He needed a drink so we went and got him some water, the only drink allowed in the bedrooms. And that kept  him happy for a few minutes.
Looking out the window.
Crawling around on the floor.
Since our appointment wasn't until 11am we had plenty of time for breakfast and playing in the morning. We went downstairs for breakfast. The dining room was pretty full with families. We had fruit, bagels, oatmeal, and milk. Then it was back upstairs to get dressed.
Smile!!!
Taking a picture for Grammie and Grampa because the shirt he has on was mine as a kid!
We headed to the playroom to play for a little bit as we didn't want Levi to sit too much, knowing that he would be doing that over at the hospital.
Building
Sitting in the wagon.
Learning the hard way that he is a little big for the wagon.
We took a few pictures in the dino room to show the differences between the first time we stayed there and this time. They removed the wall paper and painted the walls, they added stickers to the walls, and put the wall hanging quilts on the beds instead. The room looks very nice.
Levi loves the green dinosaur!
Dino's on the wall.
Finally it was time to check out and head next door for Levi's appointment. We said our good byes and knew that we would be back.
